Solmar Suites

Hotel Information: A family-friendly place, the resort offers end-of-the-road seclusion—no buildings east or south—and padded lounges for comfortable sunning with views of cliffs and ocean.

Amenity highlights: A three-section family pool includes a large children's area and swim-up bar, with an adjacent 15-person spa offering social soaking.

A second pool also includes a children's area and a swim-up bar. Hidden away for adult seclusion, a third pool produces waves at the push of a button for resistance lap swimming.

The pristine beach offers expansive jogging and walking space, but the Pacific is not safe for swimming here due to strong undercurrents.

Insider tip: Next to the adult wave pool, a large barbecue grill and food preparation area provides guests an opportunity to grill outdoors.

Rooms at the Solmar Suites are offered in the European Plan, which includes room accommodations only. All have private balconies or patios entered from the beach.

Satellite TVs, in-room safes, and minibars are included in guestrooms as are tiled bathrooms with showers and tubs.
