Melia Cabo Real All Inclusive Beach & Golf Resort

Hotel Information: With romantic, starlit gardens, a green fairway pointed at the sea right next door, a 152-meter (500-foot) beach safe for swimming, and supervised children's activities available, Melia Cabo Real All Inclusive Beach & Golf Resort attracts couples, serious golfers, and families.

Amenity highlights: Surrounded by a flagstone deck furnished with padded lounges, the sprawling, free-form pool contains two palm-garden islands, a children's section, and a swim-up bar. On a cactus-garden terrace above the pool is an open-air massage station. A 40-step staircase leads down the bluff to the beach, which is furnished with thatched-roof palapas and offers desert-isle tranquility in front of a calm-water cove. This beach is one of the few in the area where swimming is available.

Insider tip: Located on the lip of the bluff overlooking the beach, a 7.6-meter-long (25-foot), kidney-shaped spa tub becomes a popular socializing spot after dark.

The Melia Cabo Real offers 305 guestrooms, all with balconies or patios and most have panoramic views. Guestrooms feature marble floors, light wood furnishings, recessed lighting, and abstract depictions of indigenous Mexican symbols carved into walls. Marble bathrooms house tub/shower combinations. Wireless Internet access is available (surcharge).
